Chloe Zheng is a multidisciplinary artist based on Gadigal country, Sydney, working across installation, textiles, painting, sound and mixed media. Her practice explores the continual recalibration of personal identity across social and cultural contexts, informed by her experience as a 1.5-generation immigrant navigating the liminal space between Chinese and Australian cultures.

Zheng examines how personal histories, the ephemerality of language and cultural inheritances shape understandings of oneself. Intrigued by textures in motion and sensory experiences, she translates the vulnerability and fluidity of identity through materials connected to her cultural background.

Zheng is currently studying a Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Fine Arts at UNSW Sydney. Her work has been exhibited at the National Portrait Gallery, M16 Artspace, Hazelhurst Arts Centre, Outback Regional Gallery in Winton and Mosman Art Gallery.
